Camping and riding Zuni mountains mountain bike area. Weather should be high 70s during the day and mid 40s at night. I will be arriving Thursday afternoon (May 22nd) and staying at least 3 nights and riding 3 days, possibly more. I will be tent camping, but smallish trailers and RVs are fine. Hilso trail head has free, first come, dispersed camping just beyond the parking area for trailhead and pit toilets. Also option for more formal campsite, just a little further south on NM-500, is Quaking Aspen campground and requires reservations. I am planning on doing all rides from the Hilso trailhead although we can organize shuttles to shorten rides and add variety if people are interested. Most trails are rated green or blue. Rides will be between 12 and 20 miles and we will get started around 9am each day or whatever time we collectively decide. Please reach out to me and let me know if you are interested.
